Ok, I have been lurking on this forum for a while and got some valuable info from here.
But I joined because I need some advice So, about 3+ months ago, I was driving along and just lost power called the AA apparently, the EGR was gone, so he blanked it off and told me that will be good but I need to take it to the garage After reading on here that most blank there's off any way I decided to just leave it
About 2+ months ago, I pulled out off the road and tried to accelerate hard, so I didn’t slow down the traffic behind me, that failed because I lost power
I pulled over and turned the car off for a few minutes it restarted as if everything was fine.
But over the last few weeks, randomly once or twice, I’ve noticed whilst accelerating, not hard, just normal accelerating, the loss of power, then it kicks back in after a few seconds
3 days ago, I went to pull out of the parking space where I live and drive off got maybe 4 meters, and it just died
No shudder like it was out of fuel - so after looking at the forums, I decided to:
So I thought maybe change the Suction Control Valve as I remember reading that there's a code on the side, so I turned the wheels to try and get a good view here is the image:
Another thing that concerns me is when I took off the engine plastic cover, I noticed on the large rubber pipe going in near where the EGR was blanks lots of black gunk, which has obviously been running down the pipe could this be the cause I'm not sure what this pipe is for.
So I'm going to change the SCV ordered this one:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FUEL-PUMP-PRESSURE-REGULATOR-SENSOR-SUCTION-CONTROL-VALVE-NISSAN-NAVARA-2-5-DCI-/261587577717
What about this black gunk something blown that needs changing
I also ordered an EGR blank plate that fits better, as the AA guy used what looked like a universal one
Any Help or advice will be appreciated.

No shudder like it was out of fuel - so after looking at the forums, I decided to:
- replace the fuel filter
- cleaned up the battery terminals
- cleaned the MAF sensor
- checked all the fuses, including the 4th hidden fuse box
So I thought maybe change the Suction Control Valve as I remember reading that there's a code on the side, so I turned the wheels to try and get a good view here is the image:
