Hi. Think I want a np300. I've been offered a early 18 tekna in exactly the spec I want (grey, tow bar, roller top) with 14k for 21k but will I kick myself with the revised np300 round the corner. Should I wait to see the new model or jump on the 2nd hand one?

Thanks
Tony

New model has a few interesting improvements, new navigation and better brakes are the best bits to me. Personally not a fan of a new wheels. Also if you are going manual then the manual box in the revised model has longer ratios and a better feel apparently. I've done 100k now in an early manual and have to say the constant irritation with it is the gearing is to short.

However, 21k for a used machine is strong, I collect a new Tekna Auto with metallic on Wednesday which we've paid ÂŁ22,509+vat. via chalkes of Wincanton, obviously 0 previous owner full warranty and whatever miles its picked up being moved around the factory etc.

It boils down to how soon you need it though but if you were going manual I would probably wait if you were going auto then you could try and find a pre-reg machine with delivery miles for 21k+vat I'd have thought.

Thanks, what would be handy to understand is what would be the rough costs of putting a plastic load liner, rock and roll cover and tow bar on it from Nissan? Just so I can understand the cost of bringing a new one to the same spec.
Thanks

Replying in both your threads just in case!

The new revisions aren’t available for a while yet...just in case you decide the used route is for you....

Mine will be for sale v soon and is 2017 with 17k miles has fully centrally locking Nissan full hard top, Nissan tow bar, sunroof, folding mirrors on lock, LED light bar, trek black wheels and loads of extras. Pm if you interested as I may be part ex soon.
I’m not VAT registered so no vat to pass on and it’s auto btw.

Used isn’t so bad with a Nissan as even my 17 plate has 3 years warranty left.... plenty out there if you decide that you don’t want to wait for the new one.

It depends what you call a while? My dealer has one in next week and coming through early August for retail.
Of course you have VAT to pass on . I very much doubt you will be happy taking the trade in value us that are VAT registered will be offered. Although thats all the dealer can offer you as they have to add VAT when they sell on as its not covered by the margin scheme.

I have no VAT to add to the price. My company is VAT registered but I am not. I bought this car outright cash so therefor there is no VAT reclaimed or to pass on. It is up to me what price I choose to sell at but there is no VAT within my sale. Fact. So you are wrong.

You have just reinforced what I said you will be trying to recoupe some of the VAT you paid in the asking price . Just trying to be straight when you claim there is no VAT to pay . Dont want to mislead people especially when its in your interest to.
