Dear all,

As one of the newest members of the distinguished Navara community, it is an honor to introduce myself to all of you today. Being the proud owner of a Silver Grey King Cab Navara, I've been roaming the internet for several days before finding this 'natural home' on the web.

I've enjoyed browsing the forums, am deeply impressed by the quality of the responses and the love for the Navara as expressed by most of you. I will do my best to contribute in the tradition of the forum shortly.

Living in the rural Northern part of the Netherlands (called Friesland, for those who care), a Navara is a necessity to get around with our horse trailer, the animals and all the heavy lifting that a farm car needs to do. Until now, the Navara never failed us and keeps amazing us with the performance every day. It's quite a surprise that Navara's are quite rare in the part of the country were we live in that respect.

Happy New Year to all of you, my compliments with the high quality of Nissan-Navarra.net and looking forward to an active 'forum-life',

Greetz,
Rene

Thanks all for the warm welcome. As my office desktop doesn't allow uploading some pics, I certainly promise to share some with the community at a later stage.

No intentions for particular mods but I've seen some interesting topics on the forum already. I'm sure something will present itself shortly.

Greetz,
Rene

But what kind is my Navara anyway ?

Dear all,

Prior to browsing the forums I tried to discover what particular type of Navara I own, in terms of D21, D40 or any other 'code' referencing particular models. From the registration papers I can only see that my car is listed as '2.5 DCI 190PK King Cab 3.000 AHG 4x4 (registered per Feb 2011)

Looks impressive but still a mystery to me. As I have a technical question which may relate to a particular type like D21 or D40, I hope one of you experts is able to shed some light here. Pics have been shared earlier, as those may contain a clue or two as well. My current assumption that the date basically defines the type, with the D40 production ranging from 2004 - 2015. This would make my car a D40, if this applies to European Navara's as well....

I know, this question confirms my 'Newbie' status, but that's a small price for learning about my car.

Greetz from The Netherlands to y'all,
Rene
