Ok, here's a more in depth explanaition:
Navara D40 was launched in 05 174 BHP, many suffered halfshaft and clutch issues, but generally pretty good trucks, they drive well and give good fuel economy (Euro 3 engine)
Sept 06 the Euro 4 engines came in, 171 BHP (manual) and 169 BHP (auto) these engines are more friendly emission wise but not as economical (work that out?) :?
To find out if your truck is Euro 3 or Euro 4, lift the bonnet, right on top of the engine is a black plastic cover, if you lift this up you will see the engine/rocker cover. If the rocker cover is silver, the truck is a Euro 3, if the cover is black, the truck is a Euro 4.
July 07 facelift, upgrades were IIRC?
New style alloys
Indicators and puddle lamps built into side door mirrors
Choice of colour coded or chrome mirror housings
Stainless steel entry kick plates
Soft touch paint to interior (darker shade than previous model)
No "Navara" decals on roof bars
Two new colours, Emotion Red, Granite/Flint Grey
One or two other upgrades but nothing major and the truck looks much the same as the previous model.
The steel spare introduced and non folding passenger seat time is a bit of a grey area, as some late trucks had these included and some didn't.
Sept 2010 Facelift 190 BHP, revised engine, and some faults of previous models addressed, more economical, but some say noisier?
Revised front bumper and grille
Revised interior and sound system including iPod connection, Aux and music box.
New colours Electric Blue, Slate Grey
Again looks wise not much different to previous model.
Nissan have also started phasing out certain things like no towing eyes  (crazy for a 4x4) and recently stopped fitting the fast idle switches?
Then just recently, the 3.0ltr V6, (7 speed auto only) new type engine, good fuel economy, same shape as the 190, but with upgraded Bose sound system, and a few other little refinements.
That's more or less it, in between the above models there were special LE's :
Die Hard 4.0 (no not a 4ltr)
Long Way down
Mammoth
Platinum
