Will a non dpf ecu work if i put it into a car with a DPF?

Anybody know who can remap a D40 ecu to remove the DPF?

Hi,
No good idea since the DPF will never be regenerated while driving and eventually will be clogged and even meltdown.

Old post guys, still havnt sorted this car. Does anyone know for sure if using the non dpf computer in the dpf car, with the dpf inside's being smashed out, if it will work, and wont trigger any check lights or anything. the car doesnt have to worry about emmisions tests.

Was talking to a fellow here in Australia that removed the DPF guts and left all electronics as standard and he tells me no problemes.???? not game to try it untill absolutely shure it works.

Anyone tryed to change out the ECU yet? or found anyone who can remap the ECU so there is no DPF function? DPF has been removed already

Why replacing the ECU?

ECM with out dpf is for a manual nav only.
ECM with dpf is for a auto only.
One will not work the other very different maps.

Some a/t nav are without dpf.

I can check for you ecu wiring diagram but i need to know truck spec, is it automatic and what year.

mine is auto 2008, i think early in 2007 they didn't have DPF, would really like to know if any one has done it or if you think it could be done mine is shocking on fuel i have already removed the DPF etc.

You can have you nav remapped to sort out the fuel problem.

In the UK they can be mapped mine been one but there are a few kicking about mapped here.

You can remove the DPF and link the 2 pipes from the car together
the ECU will not go to regen as it will not sense and pressure changes
I did it on mine 5k miles ago and no problems.

Mot was still so clean the smoke meter had problems sensing
any smoke let alone excess.,

Hi

Tried that first but they are very sensitive to pressure
changes and initialy I got random white smoke
linked the pipes together and no problems since.

I have to say though it didnt make a huge pile of difference
to the car overall

hi hope this is in right place just got stainless exhaust that gets rid of cat and dpf got under car and found the 2 pipes i think that subject says can link together but also looks like a wire is on dpf what can i do with that help please thanks ps got atunit box and get about 24 round town up from 21
