Hi, after changing my battery the other day on my 2015 d40 I now have my abs, esp and traction control lights on the dash. I’ve taken it to a garage and the fault code C1170 and U1000 came up, all sensors are working correctly on the wheels but the garage couldn’t reset the codes. Before i have my pants pulled down by a Nissan dealer :rolleyes:is there anyone who can help me out with some suggestions I can try out. Thanks Dave

Hello, Dave, welcome.

U1000

It's always been a dodgy earth in my experience. Landmannnn had it typed on that gearbox thread, I couldn't word it better.

You may see C1170 disappear once you correct U1000.

Hi all quick update, after taking the truck to Nissan for a diagnostic check they came back to me saying it is a faulty abs module and that it needs replacing. They have quoted me a staggering £1650 for a new one 🤯. Does anyone know if I could fit a second hand module, and if I would need the part coding to my truck? Any information will be a great help thanks Dave

Hi all another update, Tonight I have replaced the abs module with a unit from ecu abs testing the module comes with a life time warranty so a bit more expensive but I thought for peace of mind I would pay the extra. Once fitted I turned the ignition on to find all the lights still on the dash 😕! It looks like I will be on to Nissan next week again.

You may need to drive the truck to clear dash lights. Most cars you need to get over 20 mph for the abs module to work out what's happening. I work on prototype vehicles and vehicle conversions. Nearly always have abs lights on after battery reconnected but clear after they are driven. Had it on my truck after changing heater matrix. Think I drove for 10mins before lights went out.

Thanks for your reply Adz, I’ve drove the truck a couple of times but not for long just round the block. I will use it today a bit more and hope they go off 👍
