Hi all,

Owned my Navara now for 3 weeks, brilliant truck: glad i didnt go for the ford in the end...

Only problems have been everything the dealer has fitted :
Just before I take the Nav into the dealer:
- Alarm Upgrade - sit in the nav, move around, no alarm sounds
- Reversing Sensors - constant beep, far too sensitive, may sometimes work properly
- Roll top - not aligned properly, you have to slam the tailgate to get them to align properly.
- And the load liner has bits missing around the edges and bottoms ... and only one part is named Nissan Brand, the others are different

Just as so many of you have so much experience on them : i might aswell ask you lot first instead of trying to battle with the dealer because sometimes the reversing sensors work, other times they completely fail, or save my time if anything is a D.I,Y job :?

Cheers everyone :)

That's unfortunate, I'd name and shame the dealer and be right back with them as that is no way to deliver a new car...They are all dealer fit options so they have done a **** poor job...

yeah, its Harratts Nissan, wakefield, I did reccomend them :(

Only trouble is - they are 5 hours away from here ? can you take to your local garage: mines guildford ?

Are all these parts covered by the warranty ? :)

I'm not certain as they are dealer fit options...The rest of the truck is Nissan UK, so yes...But everything you have mentioned is something the dealer fits opposed to Nissan...

I would take it back and tell them to remedy the issues, and maybe contribute towards your fuel costs?
so you dont think another garage will repair the damage... it is almost 5 hours away where we purchased it from. ..

He only said that the motion sensors we have (which one thing, actually work really well) in the back of the truck would not be covered by the Nissan UK warranty, the rest do...

:) cheers,.

Well you should be alright then mate, anything that is covered under Nissan warranty can be fixed at any Nissan dealer, you might want to ask your own local dealer if they'll sort the sensors out and bill the original dealer, or ask the original dealer to authorize a local dealer to carry out the sensor repair?

No way am i letting nissan put my car on a transporter... not happening...

Im gonna go into Nissan Aldershot and give it a go, they seem to be more helpful than guildford...
quite a few issues already in 3 weeks :(

cheers everyone, :)

p.s. especially after what happened to my friends pathfinder, went in for a corrosion warranty replacement... came back with 500 miles and a dent in the pass. door along with a hole in the bumper... however has all been remied after one huge argument with Nissan.
