im chris 24 from southampton. I dont own a navara yet but iv been looking at the d40 for the past 2 months but i have a tight budget, Im sure i will find what im looking for soon. Im intorested in knowing of any faults i should be looking for?? i am looking to buy my truck privert so any info you could give me would be great. Thanks

climate and cruise are standard on the Outlaw, you may not get leather though...

Specific to Nissan, the paint is soft, soft, soft

Specific to the nav which should have been fixed under warranty
4x4 warning lights
seatbelt retracting (not)
odd rattles
interior leaks

ok thanks when you say 4x4 light. should this be on or off on start up and drive? drove one the other day that always had the light on from start up unless u flicked the switch back and forward.

so what does it mean if the light stays on? one of the navaras i drove the light was on when start up then i needed to flick the switch from 2wheel to 4whell and back again. then the light stayed out. The other one i drove the 4x4 light was on ALL the time but it was in 2wd the swich/light seamed to work the wrong way round. light ON =no 4x4 light OFF = 4x4 on. sorry if im rabling on lol :thumbleft:

the dash switch is probably up the shoot - they are notoriously unreliable on earlier models
