Hi Paul - did you ever manage manage to check how close this kit reads up to ? I really like the set up , but if it only goes to 60cm , not much point really :| .

Cheers .

Ok, finally pulled my finger out of my A**e and got round to checking on the information requested, it talks measurements down to 0.6meters and then only uses tones and visual coloured display. To make this a little easier to understand I have added the video. Hope this helps :thumbright:  :? click the image and it shows the video ( I Hope) :thumbright:

As for an early riser, get up at 0530 cy time, leave for work around 0610hrs, officially start at 0730hrs, but sometime go in the mess for eat as much as you like breakfast for 1.50euro. mmm eggs, bacon, sausages and tined tomato’s, topped off with some bread and butter... great way to start the day... and my day is finished at 1530hrs... so hence the early postings and early rise..

Efxaristo Paul :) .

Not sure if I can put up with all those beeps and that person screeching at me .Reminds me too much of her indoors.LOL .

I will have to have a mosey on Egay again .

Happy New Year .

no worries, but i have to admit it makes you take notice, and the volume is adjustable. but good luck with your choice... :thumbright:

if anyone does install the in bumper ones (like in my pic's) just a word of warning....

I noticed after a while the holes had started to rust a bit.

so have now taken the sensors out and treated the holes with silver hammerite and now sealed it all with silicone.

jobs a good'n................. hopefully

Mate mine have been in for over 2 1/2 years and my uncles around 2 years without issues, but i did use rust treatment after drilling the holes so fingers crossed they are good for a long time yet :thumbright:

Hi Paul. Any idea please what size hole you had to drill in your bumper to take the sensors please, you see I just moved the ones that Nissan fit under the bumper in that bloody silly piece of plastic into the metal bumper and they don't seem to be working very well at all, so I am thinking of fitting some different ones' but am now stuck with the holes that I have already drilled. Spike

The holecutter that came with the kit was 21mm. I reckon you could use a (more commonly available) 20mm cutter and it would do the job with a bit of fiddling........

i am getting some of the nissan in bumper ones real soon, now obviously they come with destructions to fit, but are there any hints or tips, from anyone who has fitted them.,
and where do the wires connect? thats the bit i am least looking forward too..

Firstly take your time with the holes, put some masking tape on the bumper (2" is easiest - work and mark on this lot easier than marking the chrome) measure twice drill once - centre punch where you plan to drill, use a slightly smaller hole cutter than needed and file to fit - for a tight fit, treat with rust protector before the final fit.

Connect into the nearside rear light,

There is even enough space to put the control module in there,

Then link the positive to the reverse light positive feed and the earth to body/chassis earth,

Then run the sounder/speaker wire along the nearside chassis, and for easy up in to the cab vent (behind Nearside rear seat)
Then under the carpet to the place of your choice

thanks, more the wiring i am not confident about.
and always use the measure twice cut once rule at work.... :D
sounds like a fairly easy job as long as you take your time.... :D :D

Nice 1, the wiring is a walk in the park all of the nissan stuff is plug and play (apart form power feeds).
I will be playing with stuff in the N/S/R light area over the next couple of days so will get the colour code for you of the wire. any issues please ask
 :? :cheers2:
