I took mine off to paint brackets and prefered it without so they havent gone back on !!

Exactly the same as me, so did you miss anything without them and how long have you had them off?

Have you got standard tyres and suspension, or anything that gives more height?

How about chucking a little foot ladder in the back?
Funnily enough we did chuck a folding step in last time out. You can reach the roof tent fine standing on the side steps but it's awkward to pack away because you're too close in to the truck.

Having said that I'd still want the sliders on to protect the bodywork and also provide a bit of a step to get in and out.

Dont miss anything, enjoy the extra ground clearance without, altough they were good to stop people opening car doors into my paintork, been off about 3 months truck is standard

I took my steps off today. I'm very happy with the way it looks and makes the truck look so much tidier and cleaner

Much better :)

How did you find the removal of the chassis bolts?

I don't think a truck looks right without the steps, as always though, each to their own

Lee: The brackets bolt to the cab, not the chassis, apply some Plus Gas or other penetrating oil the night before, and then some more just before you loosen the bolts :thumbright:

Aww come on Lil trucker you don't like the bare look at all?.
Ah I get you bolted to the cab OK. What size are they 10mm, 12mm?

What size heads are they sxcarmy

Are they Marshall tyres on the front by the way :)

Not many cars have the option for steps, so I'm leaving mine on to be different :)

Plus if I take them off it kinda starts looking like the wife's x-trail, but larger.
