ok so me and some friends had a discussion etc about pickups bla bla bla and another d40 owner mention he had his for a software update through the obd2 port 3 months ago? is this legit?
anyone got updates in any service he did? (not talking about satnav, but actualecu update)

Using the Nissan software the dealer can reflash the EMU. (Nissan Consult) Unlike a pc or phone there is no reason to have a software update.

thats what i though as well but he was saying he felt the truck overall better, he has the euro4 edition which is said to be the worst but after the update he likes it better?
they also charged him something like 50 euros only i think.

I have relocated the off topic posts to keep this thread on-track.

The last kind of software update I am aware of for the D40 was where dealers were lowering the initial torque of the engine to save wear and tear on the clutch and dual mass flywheel.
