Hi all.

I have a 55 plate Navara aventura. I think this was the year when the shape was changed.....I have the newer shape.

The multi change cd packed up a while back. No longer reading cd's but no great issue as I use an iPod or radio. Recently the stereo has stopped working or should I say works intermittently. I start the truck sometimes and all is fine. This morning I had nothing for the first 20minutes of the journey and then the radio kicked in. I can go days without anything and days when all is fine. It's not a speaker issue because the built in sat nav is working fine. My iPod is run through a radio channel so that aswell doesn't work when the radio isn't working. I changed the battery a couple of weeks ago and by doing that it seemed to fix the sterio problem but it's since stopped working again.

Is this a connection problem. The radio does kick in sometimes when I go over a bump and I find myself searching for potholes when it's not working. I also find myself very reluctant to stop for any non essential reason when the stereo is working and im on a long journey as I know there's a good chance it won't come on again when I start the truck.

Yes mate I had the same problem cd packed in and stereo was intermittent came on when it wanted I found out there's a booster and a chip inside the CD player that's why it's so bulky mine is a 55 plate adventura as we'll bought a new CD player all work brill now

WHere did you buy the new cd player from? Was yours a 6 disk stack?

Hi mate yes 6 disc stack exactly the same problems down to the tea tryed new Ariel's till I read a post on here about a built in booster inside the stack system hence the radio being so thin I got mine of ebay

Great ill look for a new one then. Was yours like for like? Do you have any details so I know what to look for?
