Hi

57 plate auto Navara it drives fine but if you put your foot down to give it some so to speak. It goes into limp mode. Get no dash lights etc. Restart it and it's fine again. Till you put your foot down again. Tired Ecu reset. And filter change witch did fix it for a while. But now it's come back. Another filter and it's still there. And I right in saying this is prob the suction control valve?
And is this the correct part ?

It may be SCV, or it could be the pressure relief valve on the end of the common rail dumping fuel. ( which could be caused by the scv allowing too much diesel been delivered from the pump to the rail).
When the truck drops to limp home mode, is it almost like the bang as if the clutch has gone?
Or is it a gentle transition to limp home mode?

Regarding if its the correct scv you've found, have look at the one fitted to your pump, (looking from the top of offside of engine downwards) the one you have highlighted is the short version, see if yours is the same.
If not sure, look through the offside inner wing and get the part number of the injection pump. ring PF jones and they will tell you which one you require. or just ring Nissan spares at your dealer with reg number, ask for the part No , easy

It's gentle it just cuts the power and revs then drop off its an auto if that changes anything.

Just realised yours is a 4.0 petrol, forget everything I've posted mate.................... bloody bo**ocks

SCV is for the 2.5dci

Not much experience with the petrols, Neutral position sensor anyone??

  the 4.0 refers to the Die Hard film. Not the engine although an easy mistake to.make.

Everything you said about the SCV applies and for the price well worth trying. :thumbright:

Unbelievable!!! :dunno Yippe kye yay Mutha ****

Casper, just try running by loosening your fuel filler cap, tell me if your getting pressure build up, hiss etc
If so leave it off/loose, try running the truck and see if its the same.

One more thing, try an ECU pump reset, as per peddle dance.

Ok will try that when I get chance. Never noticed pressure when going to the petrol station though it has to be said

How is the cold start idle? A faulty SCV usually goes hand in hand with hunting idle while cold, often stalling etc until engine is warmed up. It might worth while connecting up to an OBDII reader and see if any fault codes appear. whereabouts are you?

Hi it doesn't hunt in idle. It runs perfect untill you floor it. If you just drive normAlly it's fine. I'm from Leicester I have just put code reader on it and it's reads there is nothing wrong
