Uneven tick over when cold

Hi all. I've noticed my Pathfinder, has a uneven tick over when starting from cold.
It starts up ok, then it nearly cuts out as the revs drop right off.
It's 2006 2.5dci has 86 K miles, full service history, going by the receipts, had new injectors, common rail, suction pressure valve, Fuel filter housing and assembly, all in January this year.

I have found that the problem nearly disappears when using Esso/shell diesel.

Anyone had this issue?
Cheers in advance

My advice would be ...
Change the fuel filter if it hasn't been done for a while an Stick some fuel system cleaner in for a start pal, I can highly recommend BG 244, do a search on eBay ÂŁ20 delivered.
Clean maf sensor, do an Ecu reset an see how ya go from there.... Keep us updated, after you've done those cheap basics!

Ecu reset and maf sensor cleaning help pages are available by using the search bar at the top right of your screen.

Well, done the ECU reset, worked 1st time, pathy is running very smooth now, and seems more powerful, no uneven tick over. Brilliant, just tried the reset when I came back from lunch, very easy., Cheers Biggi

It's amazing what a reset can do, obviously it had never been done since you fitted all those fuel system parts so it hadn't a clue what to do, once you reset it, the ecu learned whats what and adjusted to suit.
