Hi guys!
I have a V9x and have a few fault codes. I hope to get some advice. The check engine light is on, but the car runs perfectly. Cruise control also works.
Faultcodes:
U1000 CAN communication error
P1525 Cruise control
P2600 Turbo cooling system
P2299 Pedals
P0488 EGR cooling system
While searching for the problem, I found an electrical connector between the battery and the headlamp. What is this? Kindly give me pointers on what could be the problem. Thank you very much.

It sounds like a communication error.

First check is that the battery terminals are on tightly.

Second check is that the battery is good (low voltages upset the ECUs)

A relatively common problem is a large unsealed electrical connector at chassis level at the bottom of the right side A pillar. Often just needs uplugging and spraying with WD40 or better electrical contact cleaner.

Not sure what the plug is for, will check mine in daylight.

Thanks for the help. I checked the large electrical connector. The battery is 3 months old, Exide Premium 100Ah. I will delete the fault codes, I hope it will be good. Do you know what the electrical connector is for?

Agreed, it definitely looks like a Nissan connector. It might not be (I've got a box of the same connectors)

There is nothing obvious there on mine (RHD), but the RHD and LHD have the same loom.

It looks like a 4 or 3 pin and quite a lot of corrosion, so you would imagine it was connected at one time.
