Not sure anybody could like the l200 look!
Agreed, I'd owned two L200's in a row upto 2005 after switching from Hi-Luxes, when I went to order my third L200 to my horror they'd changed to the horrible J shaped cab. I hated it so bought a Mazda B2500 instead and loved that, kept it for 10 years it was so good. The L200 has actually got even uglier since 2005 IMHO.

looks performance (for a pickup) plus best 4x4 i ever had was a Patrol so figured the DNA should be the same and to an extent its been my experience that it has, was looking at the old MOTs on-line for mine the other Day its failed twice once for a balljoint and once for front tyres and a number plate bulb, not bad for 130000 miles both before i got it and its sailed through two since then

For me it was primary down to the ride on an NP300 being far better than any other pickup on the market that I had experienced. On paper its also the most economical.

Coupled with the fact it was about the cheapest vehicle on a high mileage lease deal it made the most sense. Although an L200 was cheaper it was not as nice to drive but I do somewhat feel that the L200 might have made a better motorway cruiser with its wider spacer ratios.

Was between a 2.2 auto Limited ranger or an auto tekna np300 for me, the rear suspension setup giving the best ride out of them both and a better auto gearbox in my opinion with a way better spec for less money made it simple for me. 23k in still love it!

A couple of my workmates had D40s and had covered a fair few miles in them and still loved them. I did test drive a few pickups before deciding on my purchase and found the Navara less bouncy on the motorway when the rear was empty, I found the Hiace particularly bad on the motorway. The last thing that sealed it was the removable rear under seat storage. With this removed and a piece of foam matting in place it is a perfect way to transport our pooch.

I always wanted a truck and the D22 came along at the right price, I love the look of the 22 as well to be honest
