Following a request from a fellow member here's a How To
The location of the oil pressure switch is just right of the oil cooler above the starter motor. Access is gained from the o/s wheel arch and lifting the rubber shroud.
The gauge and the pod it sits in I got from http://www.oCoop.com
The gauge you need is a Tim 006 Oil pressure gauge 52mm and the pod it sits in is a Tim 039
The 'T' to fit the added gauge oil feed pipe to and existing oil pressure switch back into the engine block is from http://www.speedograph-richfield.com
The 'T' peice you'll need is the TP8
I removed the oil pressure switch with a box spanner. I think it was a box spanner used for replacing basin and bath taps but a deep socket will do.
I fitted the oil pressure gauge conector into the new 'T' to ease fitment as access is tight.
Fitted the new 'T' in place making sure the outlet for the oil pressure gauge would be pointing up,12 'o'clock, fitted the gauge feed pipe and refitted the original oil pressure switch into the end of the new 'T'.
Here is a photo of the set-up of the 'T' conections2012-04-01 19.43.18.JPG[/attachment:ubu8vnx7]
The gauge and it's pod can be mounted where ever you want. I went for this placement as it wouldn't cause holes drilled into the dash or pillar and I can still view it from the driving position but it's up to you.2012-04-01 19.39.35.JPG[/attachment:ubu8vnx7]
