Guessing that my 2014 model will get an OK and a slap of underseal...
If its owt like mine it wont get a slap of anything
Mine looks like it was just in the same room as one getting undersealed and caught some of the overspray

It looks botched to me. There is supposed to be a Mount bolted on which has a rubber insert I cannot see any of that in your picture

The mount was indeed bolted on just completely corroded managed to get the mount from Nissan and heat the three bolts up to get them out. All sorted now [emoji106]

So today I decided to have a look how the chassis is holding up after being treated and what can I say I’m not impressed! I have spent hours backwards and forwards to Nissan customer care and they have been really helpful they understand that for a treated chassis it should not already look like this. I have emailed them all my photos even the photos of the poor job the bodyshop did in treating it. Now I have been told I will hear back tomorrow on what will be done to fix it. Has anybody else noticed rust coming through already?

not yet but am expecting surface rust to pop through after winter, in all honesty, come summer time am going to sand blast it inside and out with a pressure washer and treat it myself Nissans "paint" is rubbish by the looks of it, am also not too impressed they managed to coat my stainless exhaust in the stuff so that will need blasting off as well but it will do for the winter

I’m the same they got it on the insides of my wheels all over the spare and the exhaust is covered in it. What’s happening to the ones that go over to Spain? Are they having completely new chassis?

yep got the letter 2014 v6, i think there just trying to slow down corrosion so there not in the same boain 6 or 7 years time with the late d40s think i need to cavity wax properly inside and out the chassis with dynotrol

Im pretty sure you will find that the only ones going to spain are the ones they had been buying in and any that had in the past had(or would have) the chassis treatment are still receiving that as routine I cant see for one minute that they will replace every chassis as the number of failures is relatively low still .My dealer says its still not an official recall as Nissan have avoided that by the action they have taken. Im not in a hurry for my 3 to go in and we are going to try and get them in during the summer when we can live without them better. The dealer assures me only about 5% at most are actually failing the testing that they have done and I trust them as they have no axe to grind on this. They are now preferring to take them in and strip down for the whole job so a proper assessment is done and then carry straight on with the treatment after.

Had a drive down to Thornton’s to pick up a few bits and they can galvanise the chassis for £2500 they said they would need the car for around a month to get it all done. Also Nissan customer care got back in touch with me over the poorly treated chassis and have apologised and said from the pictures I sent them the have done none of what they asked. It should have been blasted and the internal of the chassis should of been treated not just the outsides.

UPDATE: Nissan customer care have been back in touch today and I spoke to one of the technical team they have apologised for the treatment that has been carried out on my vehicle and said the garage had not followed protocol. They agree it should have been blasted inside and outside before being treated and from other pictures I sent them said the inside had not even been coated. I am now waiting for them to sort out where it is going for a full strip down and blasting and to be treated again. If anybody else is in the same situation after getting there navaras back I would get in touch with Nissan customer care they have been great and understand the frustration of the job not being done correctly. I will try my best to keep everyone updated on the outcome.

2018 D40 Inspection

Evening all, so roughly 12 months ago Nissan sent a man in a van (RAC)to my place of work, he crawled underneath my truck with a small MOT hammer and pocked & tapped the chassis and within 10-15 minutes he was gone. A letter from Nissan followed, stating that the inspection results deemed my Truck as safe and without fault.... brilliant.
A year on an a letter has come through the post asking for me to book in at my local Nissan as soon as possible as another inspection is required and a sealant may need to be applied to the underbelly of my truck.

Anybody else has this and what extent so the new checks go to?
